1. Paul Deans recognised the contribution of Swordc CC to the success of the Ras finishing in Skerries. The sucess of the Ras in Skerries is as a result of the committment of Swords CC members to the requirements of marshalling etc.
2. Jim Callaly brought up a number of points
a. That the committee should be able to offer "Honorary Membership ". This would be at the discretion of the committee. This motion was approved by the agm
b. A provisional timetable is available for the League next year and this would be published in Jan 2009 once approved by the committee.
c. A revised fee structure for the League was proposed but the general concensus of the AGM was that this would not be a positive for the League.
3. The AGM passed a motion that " For the season 2009 and beyond Email communication by the club will be considered as formal written notice "
4. All Committee meetings for 2009 will take place in the Board Room of Mc Nally Joinery
5. There are some stocks of the old "McNally Joinery " and this will be made available to all new juniors.
6. The membership at the AGM were asked if there were any old bikes that were lying in garages etc. If members made these available that these would be given to some of the young members who are currently getting involved via the training group in Balrothery every Sunday morning.

Note re Stewarding (submitted by Paul Deans)
I am reminded of a colleague of mine from Southern Australia who encountered a similar difficulty and responded with the following comment(s).
You have three options:-
* You can hope that someone else will do it (after all you joined to race not to help) and the problem will go away.
* You can leave and ride the coast road or better still try anothersport.
* You can offer to become a Marshall/Stewart and give added value to the club and your sport.
