Neuromuscular Physical Therapist

My name is Martina Kelly. I am a qualified and insured Neuromuscular Physical Therapist. I completed my studies at the National Training Centre, Dublin, under the directorship of Mr John Sharkey who is a member of the Olympic Council of Ireland’s Medical Team.
Initially I qualified as a Health Fitness Instructor and Personnel Trainer, and received the National Qualification in Exercise and Health Studies. The combined knowledge of exercise science and treatment of injury allows me to provide the ideal service needed by sports athletes. As a competitive cyclist, ex-runner and International volleyball player, I can emphasise with  sports clients.
As a Neuromuscular Therapist, when analysing an injury or complaint, I consider and evaluate the entire body, sources of repetitive strain (including over training), while identifying early signs of problems and dealing with them before they manifest as a true injury. Pain and injury are usually caused by a chain of events, such as poor posture, repetitive strains and so on.
One of my specialist areas of treatment is Myofascial Trigger Points. Trigger Points can be the true source of many musculoskeletal pains, yet they are most often overlooked.
I am living and working in Meath, At present I am working with Dublin and Meath Senior GAA teams, The Meath cycling team, Competitive runners, Mountain bikers, tri-athlete's  iorn men competitors the list goes on.
I am sure I would be of assistance to your club or team in prevention and treatment of  the type of pain and injury we all experience as we push ourselves for competition. I would be delighted to meet with you and discuss in detail the pre, inter and post event modalities I can provide to your members,
I look forward to the possibility of meeting with you.
Yours sincerely,
Martina Kelly.

Note re Stewarding (submitted by Paul Deans)
I am reminded of a colleague of mine from Southern Australia who encountered a similar difficulty and responded  with the following comment(s).
You have three options:-
* You can hope that someone else will do it (after all you joined to race not to help) and the problem will go away.
* You can leave and ride the coast road or better still try anothersport.
* You can offer to become a Marshall/Stewart and give added value to the club and your sport.
